Aisle of Doom Haul

I'm sure we've all been victims of the Aisle of Doom/Temptation. You know, the stand of products that form the line for the registers at Sephora? I went to the other Sephora in my city and was happily surprised to see a couple of products that I have been wanting to try. This location is farther from where I live but the brand selection is quite a bit larger than the location I normally go to.

For some reason, every time I pass by the Aisle of Doom, the "Beauty on the Fly" bag always catches my eye. I don't know what it is about them, but it always makes me want to buy 3 items just so I can get the bag for free. For some reason, I'd rather spend around $40 to get the bag for free instead of just paying the $5.95 for the bag. (Yes, that is in fact how my brain functions...)

If you're planning on getting items from the Aisle of Doom or want to try out the travel size of certain products, I'd definitely recommend going nuts and just buy 3 items at once. Before, I would just buy one item from the aisle at a time to make myself feel better about the price. However, I should've bought them all, 3 at a time. If I had done that from the beginning, I probably would own about 3 or 4 Beauty on the Fly bags.

Sephora's VIP Pass Palette

Sephora VIP Pass

I thought I was being good when I passed on buying this palette the first time I saw it. However, it looks like I'm not, as I now own it... The colours don't show up too well on here but I think they're all usable shades and are good quality considering the whole thing only costs $12!

Blinc Mascara Set

Blinc Mascara

Is this brand any good? I first heard about Blinc products a while back and I would be lying if I didn't say I was intrigued. It claims to "tube" your lashes as opposed to coating them. This set comes with 2 mascaras. One is their original mascara formula, and the other is their mascara amplified formula. I'm definitely excited but slightly scared to try these out. I might just have to do a review on these as their claim on application is so unique!

Tarte's Gifted Mascara

Tarte Gifted Mascara

I can't explain how excited I was to find this sample size of Tarte's Gifted mascara. I've been wanting to try it for months now, but I couldn't justify buying the full size. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a mascara junkie. I think I have about 10 mascaras sitting in my room that are waiting to be opened.. (Make that 11. I bought ANOTHER mascara the other day).

The fact that beauty gurus have been raving about this mascara recently also pushed me to finally make the purchase.

Tarte Gifted Mascara

Needless to say, I was super happy to see that a sample size was available. I still get to try out the product without feeling too guilty!

Smashbox's Full Exposure Travel Palette

Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

I remember seeing this online and casually adding it to my loves on Sephora's site. I was starting to forget about this palette until I passed by it in the Aisle of Doom. I was so intrigued by this palette that I bought it without swatching it.

Granted, there wasn't an open sample to swatch.. But, the fact that I actually purchased non-drugstore eyeshadow without swatching it first, and having never tried anything from the brand before, is saying something.

My interest in getting the full size of this palette was also a factor contributing to this purchase...

I think my favourite part of this palette is the fact that it's half matte and half shimmer. I'm trying to use more matte shadows, as 90% of the shadows I own are shimmer... I have a problem, I know. Mascaras and eyeshadow palettes are definitely my weakness.
